With a 1st Century Message
We love it here. You'll love it too!
Bible Baptist Church is a Bible-believing church. It is Baptist in doctrine and organization. Our purpose is to glorify God in all that we do. Our emphasis is to direct every person to a personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and His will for daily living.
Our worship style is Traditional and Conservative. (We don't sound like Woodstock on Sunday mornings.)

facebook.comWe have decided to change the time of our evening service. Beginning May 7 our Sunday evening family hour begins at 6:00 PM (no longer 6:30 PM). The service is a less formal time with singing favorite hymns, sharing testimonies and prayer requests and something from God's Word to encourage and edify. We often have quizzes and other fun stuff. We encourage you to end the Lord's day with His people in His house.
Don't forget our roller skating party on Thursday from 5 - 7 pm. Call pastor Mike or Nathan.
Our Resurrection Sunday week services include the following. On Wednesday April 12 the 7:00 Pm service will focus on the cross of Christ with three men sharing. On Sunday we begin with a sunrise service at 6:30 AM at the Veteran's Home by the pond. We will also have breakfast at the church at 9:30 AM during the Sunday school hour. The 10: 30 AM Worship Service message will look at the Happiest Person on that first Resurrection Sunday morning. The evening service has been canceled to allow people to spend time with their families.
Our church has gone through a lot since my accident in January. Our men have stepped up to the plate and taken over the preaching. Our new Assistant Pastor (Nathan Thomas) has proven to be a special blessing by assuming more work than he previously had and he did it excellently. I praise the Lord for giving us not only capable people but more importantly, available ones.
In general when a pastor is incapacitated for some reason the church struggles. When I had my accident two months ago our assistant pastor and the men of the church put together a plan to fill our pulpit on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights and Wednesday nights. They fill in other duties too. I am so pleased to see how they have used their gifts in this time of need. Our assistant pastor told me they have things covered until June and can go farther if need be. I am pleased to be the guest speaker for Sunday nights.
Our Sunday evening service will be scheduled for 6:30 PM tonight and will meet in the chapel of the Heritage Healthcare Center in Gering. Pastor Mike will be there and will be speaking. We would love to have another full house.

This Sunday our Annual Business Meeting is at 4:00 PM. Friends who are not members may attend. Pastor Mike is planning to be at the 6:30 PM Family Hour Service to share his testimony of his experience these last weeks. Hope to see you there.
The women of the church get together for a Bible Study on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM. They meet in the lower level of our church facility. They are studying the book of Philippians. For more information call Mrs. Ariel Clement at 308-632-2263. There is no cost and study materials are given out.
In keeping with our "Missions Month" in January we will look at four areas of stewardship. Time, Talent, Treasure and Testimony. This should be a good reminder and challenge for us all.
January is Missions Month at our church. The messages are geared to direct our attention to the need to share the gospel with others. Those attending here are encouraged to ask the Lord what He wants them to commit to give to Missions this year. Then put that number on a card and turn it in. We count up the amount on the cards and use that number as a basis for our Missions budget for 2017. God has always blessed our church and those participating through this. On average 25% of all giving at our church goes to sharing the gospel with others in America and around the world. Most of our missionaries are involved in evangelism and church planting rather than "support" ministries. And except our support for the Bible Broadcasting Network our support goes to people who are serving rather than organizations. Other things are important but we believe this is what the Lord has led us to do.
The weather is contrary so those who are concerned about travel should stay home. Ariel and I will be at church for the brave (or foolish) who come out. It's a film night. (Jon Hus)
