THE INDEPENDENT MARKETPLACE IS AN EXPERIMENT IN FOOD, MUSIC, ART & CULTURE.
From April 2012-February 2013 The Independent Marketplace is an experiment in food, music, art and culture, coming alive on the first Thursday of every month from 4-9pm at 600 Ortiz Avenue in Sand City.

Pairing fresh produce and prepared foods with beer and wine tasting and live entertainment, The Independent Marketplace is about conscious connected living.
The event is open to the public and free between 4-5pm, $5 thereafter.
Each month carries a DIFFERENT THEME and features a rotating Non-profit partner that support arts, culture and our organic food-shed on the Monterey Bay.

Conveniently located in the heart of Sand City's West End District, The Independent Marketplace provides an upbeat, safe environment for both singles and families.
Buy produce from artisan organic farmers, seasonal gourmet foods not available through local stores. and sample seasonal beer, wine and spirits selections. Enjoy fresh bread, confections and other wonderful treats catering to the entire family.
Check out handmade art works and crafts presented by the makers themselves, while listening to live music and DJ sets that are inspired by the Marketplace's changing seasonal monthly themes.
Parents, drop off your purchases at the Veggie Valet before you enjoy our Kid's Corner with activities and parenting information.
This event has partnered with the Offset Project to manage all our waste with the intention of creating a zero waste event.
