Description
Welcome to the official social networking page for the Oregon National Guard. Oregon's 8,000+ men and women in uniform thank you for your support! We are a ready force equipped and trained to respond to any contingency. Citizen-Warriors serving our communities, our State and our Nation. We are Oregon.
The Oregon National Guard has a long tradition and history dating back to 1843. The National Guard is found in both the United States Constitution and the Oregon Constitution. The tradition and history of the Oregon National Guard was grounded on the basis of its mission statement; “A ready force equipped and trained to respond to any contingency. When we are needed, we are there.” The Oregon Military Department’s purpose is to administer, house, equip and train the Oregon National Guard – a ready force to support the Governor during unrest or natural disaster and as a reserve force to the United States Air Force and the United States Army.
Welcome to the Oregon Military Department, The Joint Force Headquarters of the Oregon Army and Air National Guard.
Vision:
The Oregon National Guard is a Ready, Professional Militia dedicated to the highest quality service to our State, Nation, and Community.
We are Soldiers, Airmen, Employees and Families adding value to America.
