The Drunken Clam Bar & Grille
Description
Local bar on St Pete Beach. Best "clammin' wings around! The Drunken Clam is a small beach bar in the city of St. Pete Beach. We are located at 46 46th Avenue, St. Pete Beach, Florida, just off Gulf Boulevard. Normal business hours are 11 am till 2 am (3 am Thurs-Sat). We are very fortunate to be one of the “favorite” hangouts for the locals. Our staff takes great pride in knowing all of the customers that make us a regular stop. And new visitors are greeted as friends by staff and customers.
We are also lucky to have a number of regular “seasonal” visitors that make us one of their favorite hangouts when they are spending a few days, weeks, or months in our area. All of our guests are very important to us. One of the things that is very special about this little beach bar is that all of our guests are friendly with each other. Our “locals” remember the seasonal visitors from year to year. And they all keep up with each other in the off-season.
ABOUT OUR FOOD: We have a very small kitchen, and a menu that matches (its on one of the tabs…take a look). Our menu is very simple beach food, and we feel we do it really well. We are particularly well known for our “naked wings” that come in a variety of flavors. In the fall of 2009 a number of the small beach bars from Pass-s-grille to Madera Beach got together for a wing contest called “Wingstock.” Our Cajun/parmesian/garlic wings won first place and have been a guest favorite since.
ABOUT SPORTS: At last count, we had 15 TV’s in side and outside on the veranda. We normally have the following seasonal sports packages: NFL Sunday Ticket, MLB-all the baseball games, NHL-Center Ice, Final Four (college basketball), and the Big Ten football package. Since we have Direct TV there is always a large variety of sport offerings available to our guests. It’s pretty amazing to be sitting in that bar and see every NFL game that is being played!
ABOUT MUSIC: We like music too! Look at our calendar to see what bands/musicians are playing. Normal start times for music are as follows: Sunday through Wednesday 8 pm…….Thursday through Saturday 9 pm. If you are interested in playing at the Clam, please drop off a DEMO CD so we can listen. No youtube or web links please. DEMO CD only, or contact the owner of the Clam for appointment.
