I spy, with my little eye, a farmer and a mechanic on top of the silo! Time to get it opened for the first of the haylage to make its way up to feed the cows; we're getting low on last year's cuttings!

Getting ready for our huge Family Farm Fest and Buy Local Fair on Saturday, June 3rd! https://www.facebook.com/events/1292491810866655/?ti=icl
Moving dry cows across the street sometimes goes well like this. Other times not so well, but we don't video having to run around all over the pastures looking like amateurs. 😜 Learn more about dry cows, which cow groups graze where on the farm, and all about our herd at our milking/barn demo and tour this Sunday and next Sunday. Details available in our events section here on our page and on our website calendar!

We re-rocked the town this morning, two locations. Both are town businesses that supply us with a constant dose of "fuel" (for ourselves, not the trucks and tractors).

Are you getting into the Leicester Rocks movement? If so, two places in town have been rocked with new free pint 'coupon' rocks for our farm! Rock #1 has been hidden at my favorite place to find a good deal, where proceeds benefit the church and town food pantry. Rock #2 has been hidden with a big stone statue in a park in Cherry Valley. The statue represents our town club that is a chapter of the largest service organization in the world. More on Leicester Rocks: https://www.facebook.com/groups/205778586590375/

Snapped a photo of my mom and the kids collecting rocks from some of our back land for the event on Saturday! Come hang out at the farm any time between 11-2 tomorrow and get involved in the Leicester Rocks movement! More details in link but main details are it's free and we have rocks and paint and supplies, come take advantage for something great for the community! Also, if it rains we will set up in our hay loft so will not need to cancel for weather! We'll make some food, we ask participants and bring a snack or something to share if possible, and just come enjoy some good simple fun! https://www.facebook.com/events/809936545848315/?ti=icl
Crystal Brook Farm
It is with a bit of sadness that we share with you our friend Ann at Crystal Brook Farm has announced the closing of her business. Not only is she an incredible female role model within agriculture but of course has supplied with us the best goat cheese we've ever had to sell in our store (don't worry, we've stocked up, we will sell it as long as we can!). Her farming and animal stewardship legacy will continue to live with us at Cooper's; all three of our pet goats by our store (Louise, Nova, and Daisy) were born on her farm. Additionally, one of her incredible employees, Hannah, will joining our farm labor team this coming Tuesday. With best wishes for prosperity in her new endeavors, we hope for Ann to have a successful future and as much happiness as all of her goat "kids" have given her over the years. 🐐 ❤️
