The Roanoke GO Outside Festival, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, is an annual event to encourage healthy, active outdoor recreation. By combining the things outdoor enthusiasts love - camping, music, gear, races, and demos, and a beautiful outdoor setting – GO Fest is a celebration of everything outdoors. GO Fest is a partnership between the nonprofit Roanoke Outside Foundation and Roanoke Parks and Recreation.
Oh, and it's FREE! Thanks to our many sponsors including Anthem, WDBJ7, Ford, ENO, River Rock Climbing, Walkabout, Carter Machinery, Yakima, Gerber Gear, Roanoke Outside, Roanoke Parks & Recreation, Orivs, and Keen to name a few.
This isn't your ordinary sit-in-your seat kind of event - you're encouraged to get involved. Walk around, touch gear, try stuff out, and above all, have fun.
So come pitch your tent (rent one if you don't have one), bring your dog (on leash), listen to great local music, sample craft beer, demo a bike or SUP, pick up a new piece of gear, and a heck of lot more. Welcome to the annual Roanoke Outdoor Sports Festival for you and your mom!

This one-of-a-kind community driven event attracts 35,000 visitors each year to fulfill their love of all things outdoors. This isn’t a “sit in your seat” kind of event — YOU’RE ENCOURAGED TO GET INVOLVED by test driving a bike or stand-up paddleboard, learning to fly cast, joining one of our many races, camping out, sampling craft beer, taking a survival class or engaging in over 125 activities during this three day smorgasbord. It’s no wonder that this festival was voted Best in the Blue Ridge three year’s running!
GO Fest founders are headed to Outdoor Retailer Denver this week to meet with all the amazing brands that make our event possible. If you know any brands that HAVE to be at GO Fest 2018, tell them to give us a shout!
