OQSN: I just spoke with Paul from Buddy Dive, he told me that our group was unlike any they had never seen, and they were very grateful for our positive attitudes and how much help we provided the staff in the first couple of days after the storm. He said he has seen pictures of us mopping, cleaning, working on debris, helping with the laundry and carrying supplies. He commended us on our ability to laugh and make the best of what was a very unfortunate event. He asked about Michael and told me he would look forward to our return to Dominica or Bonaire in the future. I told him that the reason we are different than other dive groups...is because we are a family...and that's what families do...you suck it up make most of things, and just try to enjoy spending time together...even if it is with a mop! I am very proud of you all.

OQSN: I am waiting on some stuff from the resort and buddy dive, before I can send out your travel insurance information. We will have to be patient we know what they are going through. Also you can still contact your company and get a claim started, most of them are saying that due to the high volume of claims coming in, it's a 4-6 week process just so you know.

We are safe and sound in Barbados, we are in rooms, having showers and going to get some rest then we are going to party it up! We are safe and sound. Nobody missed a meal, nobody was in physical danger after the storm was over. We had communications with our embassy before the storm ever hit us, and thanks to our amazing friends again Jeffrey Harmon and Heather Keith we had our very own US State Dept guy that texted me around the clock giving me updates. Those that know me well and know who was with me should have known that once we realized what we were facing we started preparing. Rob Jackson was able to get us a direct link to the embassy in Barbados, and Adam was pivotal to our quick response. 72 hours from when day light came and the destruction was apparent, we were evacuated. We knew assistance was coming, but it took time for that to be possible. You can't land planes when there is no airport, you can dock boats when there are no docks, and the storm debris is so thick you can't even get a boat near the sea wall. Everyone wants a story....well I have one to tell...but I will wait a few days when I have actually had the time for my own thoughts and emotions to work through....this I am very proud of how I have handle this situation and how I endlessly tried to keep my people safe and their spirits up! We worked well together and they trust me...we accomplished great things and we are bonded more than ever! For those wanting to take this time to kick me down with you negativity, remarks about being idiots and putting people in danger etc, etc you can take all that somewhere else because you can't even touch me...a Cat 5 hurricane just tried to kick my ass and I am still standing!
