The Port of Palm Beach is the 4th busiest container port of Florida's 14 deep-water ports, and it is one of the top 20 busiest container ports in the United States.  

Unlike most ports in the U.S., the Port of Palm Beach is an export port, with approximately 80% of its cargo being exported. The Port of Palm Beach supplies 65% of everything consumed in the Bahamas and is an essential lifeline to the rest of the Caribbean.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: State Road 710 / Beeline Highway “Phase C” from Australian Avenue to President Barack Obama Highway, September 22, 2017. This 0.819-mile widening project began Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, in the City of Riviera Beach. Work includes widening the existing roadway from two (2) to four (4) lanes, adding four (4) foot bike lanes and sidewalks, adding a new frontage road for residences, installing median, curb & gutter, and a perimeter wall (in 2 locations), drainage improvements, water and sewer improvements (funded by the City of Riviera Beach), and upgrades to signing and pavement markings, signalization, and lighting. The work is being performed by JW Cheatham, LLC, and is expected to be completed spring 2019. The estimated construction cost is $17.4 million. (Fin. 229896-1-52-01) Restrictions: President Barack Obama Highway may have one lane closed in each direction, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Australian Avenue may have one lane closed in each direction, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. 10th Avenue and 7th Avenue may have intermittent lane closures, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for daytime paving operations through mid-October. Avenue I, between State Road 710 and 9th Street, will be closed around-the-clock through January 2018. Avenue H, between State Road 710 and 9th Street, may be closed intermittently through winter 2017. Please note, no driveways are affected due to these closures.
