Patience is a virtue..riding takes heaps of it. You are your horse's teacher and friend. Do your horse a favor and practice some patience.. "We don't expect the child to write his name the first day or two in school. As soon as he learns to sit down in class and listen to the teacher, he is not immediately expected to write his name.....but we expect immediate learning from a horse. We expect the horse to go from kindergarten to the eighth grade, to high school, to college without enough time, preparation, or consideration for his thoughts and feelings. We often don't even get him into a learning frame-of-mind before we begin to train him. We don't even have him relaxed and confident, where he can sit down in class and just listen. We skip all that preparation because we are so superior, or neglectful, or lazy. Because we haven't prepared ourselves to recognize the horse's feelings." - Ray Hunt

This just in!!! Hot from the press!! BARNWOOD STABLES has been awarded 1ST PLACE in this years ALMOND BLOSSOM PARADE novelty fiesta mounted group!!! WOOHOO!!! CONGRATULATIONS to all the riders, horses, ponies, walkers, parents, doggies, golf cart drivers, seamstress aunts/uncles/cousins/gma's/gpa's and everyone who made it possible to create wonderful memories for our children!! It was a beautiful day! A beautiful parade! Everyone waved, smiled, handed out candy, and did an exceptional job representing the barn! Thank you all so much!! CONGRATULATIONS!! You all deserve it!!

The day has finally arrived!! Ripon's 55th Annual Almond Blossom Parade!! Guess who you will see out there?!?! Yes! You are correct!! The students and boarders of BARNWOOD STABLES will be on their polished mounts for the big day!! What theme did we pick this year, you ask??? Well, I guess you'll have to come out and see!! Parade starts at 1pm!!

Looking for a responsible individual with a drivers license that can clean a 20-stall barn twice/week in exchange for horse back riding lessons and/or a reduced boarding rate. Please contact me on here. Position to be filled asap. Thank you
