Richmond Hill Primary School PTSO
Description
RHPS PTSO is a group comprised of parent volunteers, working to give support to our children's educational environment. Welcome to RHPS PTSO! By way of introduction, we are a group of parents who work together to make RHPS an excellent place to work and to learn. Through membership dues and fundraising efforts, such as our Read-A-Thon and T-shirt sales, we provide programs, resources and services that support our students and teachers, including computer technology, playground equipment and staff appreciation days.

FYI
Official press release Dr. Brooksher: The Bryan County School system prides itself in making the safety of its students and staff a top priority. Considering the effects of Hurricane Matthew in October and the recent devastation as a result of Hurricane Harvey, we want to be extremely cautious as we make decisions that impact the lives of our 1,200+ employees and 9,000+ students. The volume of traffic traveling I-95 and I-16 continues to grow significantly due to evacuations from Florida. This causes us concern for our Bryan County families as they make preparations for Hurricane Irma. After discussion with local and state emergency management services and considering today’s projected path and the potential threat caused by Hurricane Irma, Bryan County Schools will be closed to all students and staff on Friday, September 8th, Monday, September 11th, and Tuesday September 12th. Most extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday have been moved to tonight or have been cancelled. Due to the unpredictability of the storm’s path and impact, please continue to check the Bryan County Schools’ website and Facebook page, along with local news media outlets, for further updates on school closures. Attention Prospective Volunteers: We have created a database for all those at RHPS that would like to volunteer at our school. Below is the link for you to complete: https://goo.gl/forms/H4Ay91i8EPoRCoMu2 If you have already submitted a purple volunteer form during Open House or completed one you received in your child's communication folder, you do not need to complete this. PTSO is entering those this weekend, so you should receive email notification that yours has been accepted. This is separate from the online volunteer training and lets us know how you are interested in helping RHPS. Thanks and let us know if you have questions. Happy Long Weekend! Your PTSO
