LYLESART
Description
Lylesart works to increase understanding and awareness of African American’s and other minorities contributions to the history of art and ideas. Our programming is done for the construction of a civil and public space of debate and of a critical discussion around the experiences shared by African Americans and other minority cultures. We wish to encourage debate and civilized exchange of ideas as well as their deep concern for the turn of the actions against the freedom of artistic expressions and of the values of dialogue defended by these beliefs.
The cultural importance of this mission is to conceive, cultivate, nurture, develop, produce, and present performed and exhibited artistic works, and to educate the Northeast Ohio community as to the richness and variety of this art form. The educational component will allow the community to create working relationships and garner additional experience and knowledge for Contemporary African American Art.
