Today, there will be an open house at the Cronin Rink on Broadway in Revere/Chelsea. This open house will include two hours of FREE public skating, a pop-up Touch-A-Truck in the parking lot and an exhibition via professional skaters. The event beings at 12:30 pm and residents of all ages are welcome.

On Tuesday, November 21 there will be a community Thanksgiving dinner at Casa Lucia. This event is being hosted by Mayor Brian Arrigo and Mass Badge, coordinated by Sergeant Joe Internicola of the Revere Police Department. Tonight: Open Gym at the SBA/Whelan | 6:00 - 9:00 pm. This is a free program for Revere students in 6th - 12th grade. (Please remember to bring your student ID) Tomorrow: Toddler soccer 9:00 - 10:00 am at the RHS Baseball field and Skills & Drills Basketball at the West Revere School Complex 11:00 - 2:00 pm. Sunday: Open house at the Cronin Rink on Broadway. This is a free event welcoming residents to the hockey rink for two hours of free public skating and much, much more! We hope to see you there. We were so happy to see so many residents join us for the festivities. Speical thanks to our evening's partners, Nonni's Pizza and Action Towing for their contributions! Also, many thanks to Mayor Arrigo, Speaker Robert Deleo, Senator Joe Boncore, Representative RoseLee Vincent and the rest of our local leaders for stopping by to give out candy to the children of the community. Please join us at our next event, the annual Tree Lighting at City Hall on Friday, December 1st from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.

An additional community meeting to discuss the putting green project at Gibson Park has been scheduled for next Thursday, November 9 from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. This meeting will take place at the Youth Center on Beach Street. Residents are welcome to stop by to learn more about the project and ask questions. Tonight is Fright Night! The event is being held at the SBA/Whelan and will run from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. This is a free activity that will feature amusement rides, bounce houses, pizza and more. We hope to see you there!

Reminder: Open gym for Revere middle and high school students this Friday, November 3 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at the West Revere School Complex (107 Newhall St). This open gym is just that, an open gym for participants where kids will be allowed to play various sports at their own leisure under department supervision. Open gym is available for Revere residents ONLY. Open gym is free for all who attend. However, students can only gain entry by complying with the following: * Middle school and high school students must show a school identification badge. If they do not have a school identification badge they must be accompanied by a parent and have the parent sign them in. * Students must provide an emergency phone number. * No food or gum in their possession. Please contact the Parks & Recreation Department office at (781) 286-8190 with any questions.

This week at the Parks & Recreation Department: Fright Night is now Wednesday, November 1. The event will take place at the SBA/Whelan and will start at 6:00 pm (until 8:30) Open Gym for Revere middle and high school students is this Friday at the Whelan/SBA gym. The open gym session begins at 6:00 and will run until 9:00 pm. This is a FREE program but kids must bring their student ID to enter. Please see website for additional details. No cooking classes this Tuesday or next Tuesday (Election Day). Our next cooking session begins on November, 14. Call to enroll. Winter boys basketball registrations are ongoing. This league is for boys in grades 3rd - 8th. The cost is $100, please call to enroll. Take a look at our November calendar attached to learn more about what's taking place next month.
