We get messy, dirty, laugh, hug, learn, and play. Here we focus on sharing, social/emotional skills, and more through play. State Regulated. Let me tell you a little about myself. I am from Rapid City, SD born and raised. I attended Central High, graduated 2001. Attended National American University, earning my B.S. Business Administration degree. While finishing my degree I was a server at Applebee’s and a substitute for the Rapid City School District K-12. After graduating I worked for the Air Force Finance Service Center.
I have also worked with children through church events/activities including Vacation Bible School, Junior Bible Quiz, Christmas musicals, and more.
I am blessed to be called mom by 4 dynamic children - 16, 14, 4, and 18 month old. They play instruments, sports with soccer, softball being the favorites, and apart of school activities.
After having my second youngest, I started working from home to raise him and be more available to my family. I decided to open up Mona’s Puddle Jumpers childcare in January 2013. Throughout the years I have learned and progressively altered the daycare setting in my home. I take regular training, not because I have to because I want to. I love education. I love being educated and be able educate others.
Mona’s Puddle Jumpers Childcare is just that. We get messy and love to have fun. We learn daily through play, using our manners, respect, and much more. We are slow paced, not in a hurry. Everyone dresses themselves, brushes teeth, and cleans up after playing, eating, and messes. I promote independence. We work on building friendships, kindness, sharing, turn taking, and noticing the feeling of others.

Our group is geared towards 2 years old to school age children. The school-agers walk to and from school. Two to 5 year olds are able to attend story time at the public library weekly, go on trips and outings monthly and more during nice weather. That’s our favorite part.
