2016 Eagle River Vintage Oval Racing World Championship

Team AAEN’s All Yamaha SuperTeam Takes 5 Eagle Trophys Last year we started out with our new company sponsored race team with our old race car trailer, and Bob Jahnas GPX with our race driver Dylan “The Greek”. Result was one World Championship title in Pro Mod. This year we brought both trailers and hosted four teams. Frannie Higginbotham with his Yamaha 340 GPX running in the senior over 60 class (Frannie is 72 years young), Dylan riding Bobs Yamaha GPX 440 in Mod stock and Pro Mod, Spencer Hassevoort Running His Yamaha SS 440 and Alex Katrichis running Paul Vollmers Yamaha Exciter. An all Yamaha super team! It was very efficient to have two large heated trailers with plenty of tools and parts to work with. The result was better than expected with the teams. All drivers made finals and took home a total of five nice Eagle Trophies. Frannie won the championship in the over 60 class, Dylan took home a second in Pro Mod and a third in Mod Stock, Spencer brought home a third in 440 Fan and a fourth in 440 Free Air, while Alex in his first Oval Race made 2 finals and placed 6th in the 440 fan class, one position out of atrophy, but totally enthusiastic about the experience and already planning a better sled for next year with Paulie. It was a great experience to work with so many talented team members all helping each other out with trophy winning results.
