Equestrian camp offering girls 8-16 overnight and co-ed day camp programs. Specialty camp offering riding instruction, horse care and stable management.  Week-Long Equitation Camp for Girls (Ages 9-16)

This program is for junior riders ages 9-16 of any riding level who wish to improve their skills, strength, confidence and riding foundation. Each day is structured around riding and learning about barn management and horse care. Students ride twice daily in ability-based groups and practice their teamwork skills as they clean stalls, water, feed and turn out the horses. Additional educational opportunities are provided through mini-clinics that are built into their schedule and teach students important horsemanship skills that they can put into practice at the farm. A busy day requires down time and rest and we incorporate this into our program activities such as swimming and going out to lunch. We often spend our evenings together watching a movie or sitting by the campfire. We end each session with a equitation horse show to include a judge and ribbons, as well as invited in-house competition.

Flatwork: Emphasis is placed on learning proper position, balance, use of rider aids, understanding rider form and function, and a variety of additional flatwork principles and techniques for rider strength and improvement. The exercises and lesson plans change daily, exposing students to many different ways of practicing each technique. Riders will work collectively and independently in lessons.

Flatwork/Jumping: Emphasis is placed on learning proper position, balance, use of rider aids, understanding form and function, and a variety of additional exercises, principles and techniques for rider strength and improvement. Students also fine-tune their jumping skills as they practice and learn numerous strategies to improve rider position, eye ,distances, track and pace.

Session III: August 16-23

*Fees are $950 per session (meals and lodging included). Sessions may be reserved with a non-refundable $100 deposit which is applied toward the full program fee balance.
