“FIX MY RIDE" HUNTER AND EQUITATION CLINIC With ELLEN SHEVELLA 2015-16 IEA ZONE 3 FINALS JUDGE & VETERAN USEF JUDGE A clinic open to all riders will be offered at Fox Pointe Farm LLC. on April 10, 2016. The format will be run as horse show classes that are placed, analyzed, discussed, re-schooled and re-jumped working on the suggestions and corrections provided by Ms. Shevella. Sections will be divided by height and riders’ experience. Flat classes will also be offered for Equitation pointers as well as Hunter Under Saddle. The clinic is directed as much to auditors as riders with interactive question and answer time for each class. This is a great education to help horse show moms and dads wishing to understand how the judging and competition process works. Clinician Ellen Shevella of Charlottesville, VA will help riders to see how the judges see them and how to improve their show placings. With emphasis on rules, equitation testing, handy hunter tips, and revealing many showmanship tricks of the trade, this event will emphasize how to separate yourself from the pack and consistently get rewarded with better ribbons. Ellen Shevella has been a “R” USEF judge since 1989 and has officiated form Palm Beach, FL to Palm Springs, CA at some of the most prestigious shows in the country. She is also a very popular judge for IHSA, IEA and NCAA competitions. As a rider, trainer and owner she produced multiple Champions at Palm Beach, indoors and many of the largest USEF shows in all divisions from ponies, to the Big Equitation and Conformation Hunters. She is also known as the founder/manager of the Mid-Atlantic Equitation Festival and Scholarships held in Upper Marlboro, MD every November.(midatlanticeq.com) Additionally attend April 9th Fox Pointe Farm Hunter Series Horse Show VHSA/BHSA Judge: Ellen Shevella *Stalls available* For further information and to register for the clinic contact Colleen Seely at (804)932-8710
