Demonstrations by LisaG of Rockazumbaway, CROM fitness, dancers, martial arts as well as free blood pressure screenings. Reps from the Park Police, Transit District 23, the FBI, 100 Pct & more. Our most sincere condolences go out to the Dallas Police Department & the families of the five Officers who were senselessly slain by miscreants on Wednesday night in Dallas,Texas. May these heroes rest in peace.Four of the five slain officers were Dallas Police Officers, and the fifth was a Dallas Area Rapid Transit Officer. A civilian was also wounded, authorities in Dallas said. We are praying for the full recovery of the many Officers & civilian who were injured during this ambush assassination. Know that NY is praying for you all.

From 100th Precinct Community Affairs: As part of Mayor De’Blasio’s Vision Zero Program, the NYPD and the Department of Transportation have a major two (2) week long initiative planned Beach Channel Drive, Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Cross Bay Boulevard, and Shore Front Parkway corridors, in the confines of the 100th Precinct. This initiative will begin on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016. The first week of the initiative will focus on pedestrian and driver safety education. As part of this initiative NYPD Units will visit schools, churches and senior centers throughout the precinct as well as aggressive flier campaign near the corridors of Beach Channel Drive, Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Cross Bay Boulevard, and Shore Front Parkway. Variable Message Signs will be present along northbound Beach Channel Drive at Beach 116th Street and southbound Cross Bay Boulevard and North Channel Bridge to advise drivers of their speed in relation to the New York City limit of @ 25 mph. Beginning Monday, July 11th, 2016 a full enforcement initiative will take place in an effort to reduce pedestrian fatalities and injuries along Beach Channel Drive, Rockaway Beach Boulevard, Cross Bay Boulevard, and Shore Front Parkway corridors.
