As our local growing season comes to an end LADY MOON FARMS is winding down production in Florida and starting to harvest at their farm in Bainbridge, Georgia. SO HOW COOL IS THIS...our 50 year old Airstream trailer arrived last night (big thanks to oir nephew Bradyn Kawcak) from Colorado via a stop in Bainbridge, Georgia. Happy to say that Organic veggies harvested in Georgia YESTERDAY are on our shelves TODAY! This includes... BABY BOK CHOI...RED BEETS,...RED AND GREEN BOSTON LETTUCE...DANDELION GREENS...FLAT PARSLEY...RED LEAF LETTUCE...KALE and GREEN SWISS CHARD. Local organics are still available (for now) and we have beautiful RED OKRA (So tender it can be eaten raw)...SUGAR BABIES WATERMELONS...BEAUTIFUL MIXED GREENS...RED, YELLOW AND CHIOGGIA BEETS, Florida ONIONS and a few other items from ALOE ORGANICS in Arcadia, FL. We restocked yesterday and just picked round, red and delicious TOMATOES and ripe, ready to eat ROMAS, RED PEPPERS, SWEET CORN, CARROTS, SWEET CELERY, ORANGES, POTAOES, SWEET POTATOES and other local items are available but are not organic. Finally, organic spinach, organic apples and organic pears are here too but these items are not local. And, non organic mushrooms (so fresh they are crunchy!), garlic and ginger are also available but not locally grown. Thursday's lunch SOUP: Hearty and filling Tomato based lentil soup with spinach SALADS: Made daily with the freshest veggies available and ready to grab and go or we can make one for you with all your favorites SANDWICHES AND WRAPS: Chicken salad (available daily), Troyers smokehouse ham, and delicious roasted turkey breast with cheeses and your choice of side (pasta salad, potato salad or cottage cheese) and a side of chips.
