Pulaski Theatre
Description
Restored historic theatre. A not-for-profit organization comprised of all volunteers dedicated to the survival and renewal of Pulaski Theatre and the return of the Performing Arts to our town. Opened in 1911 as the Elk's Theatre until 1922. In 1924 Dix-Richardson Dry Goods took over. Renovated and re-opened as the Pulaski Theatre in 1937 as a movie house. After attendance dropped, the Theatre closed again in 1991 and fell into disrepair. Given to the County of Pulaski in 1992 it was slated for destruction. In 1993 the "Friends of Pulaski Theatre" was formed, saved the Theatre and began the long road to renovation and reopening. The Theatre showed it's first movie in April 2012 since re-opening in 2008.

The Pulaski Elks Lodge #1067 presents their annual Veterans Recognition Concert with "The Old Pros Big Band Orchestra". This is the seventh year for this fantastic event to thank and recognize the service of our veterans and current military along with their families for their tremendous service to our country. Our Halloween Movie this year is the Stephen King horror "IT". This is the original 1990 release staring Tim Curry, John Ritter, Richard Thomas, Harry Anderson, Annette O'Toole and Tim Reid. Rated PG, this movie runs 3 hours and 15 minutes. We will have an intermission about half-way through the film. Based on one of Stephen King's bestselling novels, this is a story told in flashbacks. In a small town, a group of children are terrorized in their youth by an evil force. Thirty years later, when they learn of a new series of child murders, they return to see if they can't stop it once and for all. Adults now, with success in diverse careers, they still must come to terms with their pasts and with the evil that stalks their New England home town, and their own fears and nightmares. Doors open at 6:30pm, the movie begins at 7pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids 12 & under and is available only at the door.
