facebook.com**Herbert Street Update (between 5th Street and Orange Ave) – Sat., March 24th** City crews have repaired the sewer main line on Herbert Street between 5th Street and Orange Avenue. Residents living in the areas of Ponce Inlet, Daytona Beach Shores and Port Orange, east of US1, can resume their normal water usage. Please be advised this area of Herbert Street is still closed for restoration and paving and is expected to re-open by 4/3/18. Detour signs are indicated on the map below. Work will continue through Saturday, March 24th. We are asking for citizens’ continued cooperation to limit their nighttime water usage inside their homes during the evening hours from 10:00 pm – 5:00 am for the areas of Ponce Inlet, Daytona Beach Shores and Port Orange, east of US1. We will continue to keep you updated on this social media page as well as the city's website at: www.port-orange.org. Work will continue again this evening, Thursday, March 22nd. We are asking for citizens’ continued cooperation to limit their nighttime water usage inside their homes this evening from 10:00 pm – 5:00 am (Friday, March 23rd) in the areas of Ponce Inlet, Daytona Beach Shores and Port Orange, east of US1. **Reminder: Emergency main repair on Herbert Street this evening, Wednesday, March 21st from 10:00 pm - 5:00 am** As previously communicated this week, the City of Port Orange has closed a portion of Herbert Street for an emergency sewer main repair between 5th Street and Orange Ave. City staff will be working on repairing the main line this evening, Wednesday, March 21st from 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. (Thursday, March 22nd). To assist us in this matter, we request that residents living in Ponce Inlet, Daytona Beach Shores and Port Orange east of US1, to limit their water usage such as toilets, showers, laundry, during these late evening to early morning hours.
