Friday - Sunday, June 23-25, 2017 * BONUS: Statewide Log Cabin Day Sunday Only The Port Huron Museum Carnegie Center will host a "Thank You Open House" this weekend and all Port Huron residents, with ID, will be admitted at no charge. This is a small "thank you" for the city funds that were used to upgrade the air and electrical systems in the 1904 library building and the inspiration to raise additional donor funds for the interior renovation (Phase I), just completed. The building was the City Library from its construction in 1904 until the current location on McMorran Blvd. was completed in 1970. A group of interested citizens began creating the Port Huron Museum of Arts & History in 1968. It has been a Museum for the last 49 years. As a bonus, the 1870's era Kammer Log Cabin on the Carnegie grounds, will be open on Sunday, from 11 am - 3 pm, as a participant in the Michigan Statewide Log Cabin Day. Unless you book a special trip or Pioneer day, this is one of only 2-3 days a year this gem is open to the public. Pioneer crafts, like the ones in our program, will be offered at no charge, until the supply is gone. The Open House hours are: Friday 11am - 5 pm: Carnegie Center Museum only Saturday 11 am - 5 pm: Carnegie Center Museum only Sunday 11 am - 3 pm: Carnegie Center Museum and Cabin
