This time around, Boston based musician Jesse Ahern is playing New England's coast with some New Bedford punk rockers as his backing band. Most recently, the band opened for the Street Dogs and the Dropkick Murphys. They will be recording some new songs for an LP this fall. Check out the shows page for upcoming events. Popping bass lines and hot guitar drive the bopping rhythm section, the backdrop to the band’s smooth, sexy vocals. With funky keyboards and saxophone added to the mix, Funktapuss keeps the crowds smiling and feet on the dance floor. From concert halls, to the bar, to the club, Funktapuss is a machine that brings the party wherever they go. They can rock a huge late-night festival crowd, or have heads bobbing in the jazz club. The Good Trees River Band https://www.facebook.com/thegtrb/ Hailing from the South Shore of Boston, MA, Good Trees River Band is a 5-piece psychedelic rock band spreading contagious experimental grooves across the Northeastern United States. Formed in high school in 2014 by Sam (guitar), Evan (drums), Stephen (guitar), and Gavin (vocals), GTRB developed their chops playing open mics, parties, and small gigs here and there. The summer of 2016 saw bassist Ned Brady join, completing the current lineup and sparking a run of original songwriting, which culminated with the release of the bands debut self-titled demo in early 2017. Since then, Good Trees have played approximately 100 shows in the past calendar year, developing a reputation as a sizzling live act prone to wild improvisation. Blending funk, fuzz rock, blues, spacey fusion jazz and even bluegrass influences into a one instantly recognizable sound, GTRB are a band that simply must be seen to believe. The Instigators: We are a reggae/ hip hop/ funk/ ska cover and original band from the south shore of Mass. We are all veterans to the music scene. We are not trying to get famous or live in mansions. We are just trying to bring great music to the masses, and have audiences moving to our style of music.
