History of the Center
Plum Senior Community Center has been in operation since 1980, helping older adults and their families make the most of their opportunities. The Center was also responsible for bringing federally subsidized housing for senior into the Community. This 36-unit facility, built next door to the Plum Senior Center, is the first of its kind in Plum Borough. At the Center we have expanded twice by adding new rooms, and we are ADA compliant in all areas. Most recently, 26 additional parking spaces have been added. In the summer of 2011, the Center will undergo a renovation and expansion. These changes will meet the increasing demand for exercise activities, improved kitchen facilities, and a modern face-lift.
