We are in need of volunteers throughout the year with an expertise in some area of science as e-mentors who advise students on various aspects of their projects via email. Contact Patti Carothers – Fair Director at alamedacountysef@gmail.com
During the 3 days of the science fair we need 100+ general volunteers (teachers, parents, school staff, retired family members etc.) to help with a variety of tasks. Please contact
Robin Groch - Volunteer Coordinator robingroch@gmail.com We need one or more teachers per school district to act as a teacher link to disseminate fair information for us. We need you! Contact Suzette Takei – Teacher Liaison Coordinator at acsefteacherliaison@gmail.com
The cost to us per student applicant for the vendors and facility is between $95 and $125. The $15 per student registration fee we request does not cover the cost of the Fair. Twenty-five percent of the students do not include a check with their application packet, 7% fail to notify of non-participation by our vendor deadline. Two percent of the fees are waived for Title I schools or financial hardship.
