A non-profit organization, empowering underprivileged youth by increasing self confidence through different programs focusing on necessity over abundance I'd like to share, as a result of the Angel Tree program we have been doing for the Headstart children since 2012, I decided to start a non profit organization. April 5th 2016, we received the state of Florida's approval for our non-profit organization: The Lily Blossoms Foundation.

Our corporate purpose is: empowering underprivileged youth buy igniting drive and desire to change the cycle of life.

The name of the foundation comes from my background, as I became a mother at 14, to my now 19 year old pre-med student, Lily. She has always been my driving force to succeed along with my two other children. I've worked diligently to provide a different life for her than what I knew. In due time, because of my drive to persevere my life blossomed allowing me to get out from underneath the poverty line.

My goal is to show young people that anything is possible regardless of circumstance!

We plan to have different programs to encourage hope for today's underprivileged youth. We will continue the angel tree program and this year plan to double the amount of children we've supported all together. That means we are looking to support 240 children this year!!

We have also just began our first event to support underprivileged youth sports!

What makes our organization different than majority, we focus more on necessity instead of abundance. As our belief surrounds the thought: abundance impairs the ignition of drive and/or desire to want more than what is known.

This is just the beginning of our planned movement for our future generations!

For 2016, we were able to support over 150 children, totaling more than 600 gifts! Every child we supported received atleast 1 shirt, 1 bottom, 1 pair of shoes and 1 toy! We also delivered 48 mini hygiene gift packs to low income seniors (elderly) on Christmas Day! In all, we provided necessities to more than 200 people, giving out more than 650 gifts, while insuring each item was wrapped and delivered! For being a 501c3 for only 5 months, I'd have to say we were successful! Thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors and supporters! 🌸

Let's help make Christmas happen for these children who are in need! 🌸 We have been receiving a large amount of last minute requests from parents who are panicked trying to find a way to make sure their children have gifts to open on Christmas. If anyone is interested in assisting/supporting us in any way please personal message me. The more help (volunteering & donations) the better! These stories that are being shared are just heart wrenching! We can't turn them away 🌸

Tonight we delivered gifts to children who are currently living with their parents in a tent. I realize we all fall upon hard times and sometimes it's not always within our control, but the reason our foundation exists is to help provide the necessities to the children, so they don't have to suffer as much. If we can support today's children who's families face hardship, and show them there is still hope, these children will feel what it is to receive kindness and grow to giving and teaching the act of giving kindness. My heart aches as we first hand witnessed their life, but find some comfort knowing we are able to bring cheer to their voices and smiles on their faces. It makes what we do all worth it! 🌸 #TEAMLILYBLOSSOMS
