We are so excited to welcome Zachary Belles to our YPAC Music Community team! Zachary Belles has been in love with music his entire life and started focusing all his energy into it during his freshman year of high school. He started getting involved with band as a trombone player, choir as a bass, and community theater where he has been a part of 15 different shows. He has dedicated the past six years to honing his skills to the best of his abilities in all of the major brass instruments along with piano and ukulele. In high school he and the Wind Ensemble were invited to the University of Illinois SuperState Band Competition four years in a row, taking home first place twice. While in college he won the Concerto competition two years in a row and was able to perform with orchestral accompaniment. Zachary graduated from North Central College with a degree in Music Education in the spring of 2017 and looks forward to further improving his skills and watching his students grow and maybe one day even surpassing him in skill! YPAC is excited to welcome Dwayne Richardson to the Music Community! Dwayne will be teaching guitar on Monday in Yorkville and Tuesdays in Plainfield! Dwayne is a graduate of the Chicago Academy for the Arts. He has been on stages with artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy and others. He has performed at two Chicago Blues Festivals, toured Europe and Canada, and has recorded with Kanye West. Academically he created courses at the world renowned Old Town School of Folk Music, created “Blues in the Schools” programs with artists such as B.B. Kings daughter Shirley King and taught at institutions in the Chicagoland area. With a passion for God, Dwayne has ministered music within Life Changers Church, I.H.O.P and elsewhere. He has played with various ensembles at NIU, such as the NIU Steelband, Philharmonic, Percussion Ensemble, and the Afro Cuban Folkloric Ensemble. Jonny has also played with the Wheaton Municipal Band, which included a performance at the Midwest Clinic in 2012. Jonny has been teaching privately for the past 9 years. He performs around Northern Illinois/Chicago with groups such as the Ethan Bell Band, Pastiche Steel Ensemble, Fareed Haque, and others.
