I SCATTERED THE ASHES..NOW WHAT? While Forest Hill Cemetery & Arboretum DOES NOT permit scattering of ashes nor does it have a scattering garden we like to offer the following, Today, nearly half of all those cremated are scattered. Many who have scattered the remains of a loved one describe an enduring sense of emptiness, of not having a place suitable for the grieving process. Forest Hill Cemetery & Arboretum has the answer. Our tree memorial program provides a fitting all natural remembrance of loved ones who have been scattered. Each tree memorial has a plaque memorializing the loved one. The beautiful trees are located throughout the cemetery and are available to see at any time. Also, bench memorials provide an opportunity to personalize a beautiful granite bench, providing a stately, contemplative memorial of your loved one. Come out and see us or call (937)-773-2614.

Lost dog. We have him here at the cemetery!
Forest Hill Cemetery & Arboretum in Piqua will be doing it’s spring cleanup during the week of March 20th – 24th 2017. Depending on the weather the spring cleanup could be extended one week. Do not place any new items at the grave site until the first full week of April. All Christmas blankets and Christmas wreaths will be removed as well as any artificial flowers not placed in a vase. Ground decorations that are broken or unsightly will be removed as well. All rules can be found at www.foresthillpiqua.com or by calling the office at 773-2614 for additional information.
Picnic at the Hill
Bring the whole family out, spread a blanket on the ground and have an old fashion picnic. It'll be a time to remember our loved ones. Free to everyone but we will have a box to accept donations toward the purchase of a Verdin Clock.

Great News: Here at the cemetery we are planning "A picnic at the hills" event. Come out to the cemetery, spread a blanket out over the ground and have an old fashion picnic with the family. This is a great day to get back to nature and spend time with family and friends. Also, to remember those that we lost. Remember when families went on picnic's, well let’s get back to what we hope will become an annual event here at Forest Hill Cemetery & Arboretum. This event is opened to the public and free but we will be accepting donations to help support the purchase of the clock shown below. Won't you please help us. We will have the date posted so watch for this soon.

Last night’s storm put down some timber. It will take several days to clean up all the limbs and debris laying around.

Cemetery crews along with Nelson Tree Service are cleaning the bank along the canal on the west side between the south end of the cemetery and the main road at the bridge. This will allow for a clear view of the cemetery from the road that runs along the canal in the upper sections. We are also looking at putting in several concrete pads with benches overlooking the lower sections od the cemetery as well as over hanging the canal. The view is great!
