Pharr Aquatic Center
Description
Pharr Aquatic Center is a new and beautiful South Texas attraction that is enjoyed by residents of Pharr and surrounding cities in the Rio Grande Valley. The Pharr Aquatic Center consists of a fan shaped, 6,800 square foot leisure pool, which enters from a zero depth beach area that wades into 3’ 1/2”. On the shallow end, stands a water playstructure that features three children’s slides, geysers, water sprayers, misters, spray fans, two giant splash buckets, and ornamental palm tree sprayers. The pool has a 150’ body slide next to a 150’ tube slide that splash into the deep end of the pool. Available to the public is a lazy river that consists of a 200’ raft slide that spills into a 360’ linear foot, 8’ wide meandering river. Children and adults slide down in water tubes that float along the river, or line up to slide down again.
Other park amenities include a children’s pool that is 30’0” in diameter, and it features geysers and a baby slide. For the children’s safety, this pool is covered with a shade structure to provide cover from the sun’s rays. Also, the center features a Natatorium that encloses a 25 yard X 25 meter, 10 lane competition pool.

The Pharr Aquatic Center will be closed this week from August 21st to August 25th and will be opened August 26 - 27 for the last days of Summer!

Today the Natatorium will be closed to the public due to preparation of the Regional Swim Competition happening Saturday. Included below are any changes for Hours and Prices this weekend.
The Pool at Hidalgo Precinct 2 County Park will be having their Learn to Swim Program for levels 3 & 4! Lessons begin Monday July 17, to register contact the Pharr Parks and Recreation office at (956)402-4550 or visit their office at 413 E Clark.

The Pharr Aquatic Center is open! Stop by and enjoy our awesome pools and slides! Hours for the weekend are from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and prices are $5.00 for Children, Seniors and Military and $10.00 for Adults, hope to see you here!
The Pharr Aquatic Center hosted hundreds of happy families this weekend as we kicked off the Summer Swimming Season. Our partnership with PSJA ISD will limit the use of the Aquatic Center to district students from Monday, May 29 to Friday, June 2. See you next Saturday for more fun in the sun!
