http://portofpensacola.com Tracing its history back to the mid-1700s, the Port of Pensacola has evolved into northwest Florida’s leading deep-water port. With its eight deep-draft berths and more than 400,000 square feet of covered storage, the Port is located on the Gulf of Mexico just 11 miles from the sea buoy. The 50-acre facility offers a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ #249), an Enterprise Zone (EZ #1702), and stevedoring and marine terminal services for all descriptions of bulk, breakbulk and unitized freight.

Floating dock and gangway in the water!

Look, All A Board! The first visible signs that construction on the Downtown Pensacola Ferry Landing will be starting soon appeared Wednesday morning when workers from Bellingham Marine erected a board…a job site board displaying project permits and safety notices, that is. Dock pilings should start going in at Commendencia Slip, just west of the Port of Pensacola, later this week with placement of the floating dock to follow. Work will continue in the lead up to Spring 2018 when all will be welcomed aboard Pensacola Bay Ferry System’s passenger ferries Turtle Runner and Pelican Perch departing the downtown homeport location for multiple daily stops at Fort Pickens and Quiet Water Beach Boardwalk.
