This is a follow up to Town Meeting article, on the ballot tomorrow: QUESTION: Shall the Town of Pembroke prohibit the operation of all types of marijuana establishments as defined in G.L. chapter 94G, section 1, including marijuana cultivators, marijuana testing facilities, marijuana product manufacturers, marijuana retailers or any other type of licensed marijuana-related businesses, within the Town of Pembroke. YES ______ NO ______ EXPLANATION: This proposal would prohibit all commercial businesses related to marijuana including marijuana cultivation, marijuana testing facilities, marijuana product manufacturing, marijuana retailers, or any other type of licensed marijuana-related business. This proposal would not prohibit the personal use of marijuana or growing of marijuana at a residence as permitted by law. Please remember to vote tomorrow.

Sign Up for No Door to Door Solicitation The voters at Town Meeting on October 18, 2016 passed a Door-to-Door Solicitation by-law that allows residents of Pembroke to opt-out of having commercial sales representatives or canvassers coming to their door. For a complete list of active Door-to-Door Solicitation Permits, see below: Effective May 1, 2017: NONE (Two applications for permits are pending before the Board of Selectmen on May 15th). Visit the town website to download the form to register for the No Solicitation List, or fill one out at Town Hall. https://www.pembroke-ma.gov/home/news/sign-no-door-door-solicitation. Please be advised: the "No Solicitation List" excludes Commercial Solicitors only and does not prohibit those who solicit for religious, political, newspaper distribution, public policy purposes or other non-commercial purposes.

Please remember that Pembroke's Annual Town Meeting is tomorrow night at 7:00 pm at the High School (80 Learning Lane). Please be advised that you must be a registered voter and present to vote at this important meeting. There is no absentee voting for a town meeting. There are 32 articles on the annual warrant and 7 articles on the special within the annual warrant. Town Moderator Steve Dodge will be introducing a Consent Agenda for five of the routine articles. Just a reminder. Recycling center will be open on all Sundays in May. Hours 9 am to 3 pm. Not sure how much leaf clearing you could do today with the rain, but it'll be open and waiting tomorrow for regular business.

Both Crews will be continuing in the same areas they were in last night: One crew will be up North Pembroke again, Pembroke Woods then Elm Street and the sides off of Elm. The other crew will be working Mattakeesett Street and the sides off of Mattakeesett.
