thistles, a floral and accent shop on the historic town square of Pella, Iowa, is here to serve you and your floral needs. We excel at creating unique arrangements for any style and love bringing joy to people's lives with the beauty of flowers. Originally opened in 1983 by Lois Vander Weide as the Village Florist, our shop has been a part of Historic Downtown Pella for 25+ years. Under new ownership in 2006 we changed our name to thistles to better suit our style. We can do traditional styles, but excel in something a bit more unusual or high style. We are proud of our heritage and being a staple in the downtown community. With changes in the times, economy & ownership, we are thankful for our customers who have embraced these changes right along with us!
