Central Commemorates MLK’s 1967 Visit
Central College marks the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s address on campus March 20-24. The college has planned several events to honor King’s legacy and vision. On March 22, Central will dedicate a new display in the Maytag Student Center commemorating King’s visit to campus.
Eighmy to lead Central advancement team
Central College has named Sunny Eighmy vice president for advancement. Eighmy, a 1999 Central graduate, has served in the position in an interim role since late September. Eighmy will oversee and help execute the college’s fund-raising strategies while cultivating relationships with alumni and other college constituencies.
In Memory of Bruce Heerema
The Central College family was saddened to learn of the passing of trustee emeritus Bruce Heerema ’63. In body, mind and spirit, Bruce maintained a life-long commitment to Central College and serving Central students. We extend our deepest sympathies to Bruce’s many friends and family members.
