Thanks for information shared from LMLPA board member Carl Wallace: I ran through the data again, thought others might be interested the "Coosa River at Gadsden steam plant" gage is still normal although it is moving slightly in an upward direction. This is the gage that the Neely Henry dam operation is controlled from - practically speaking the "Coosa River at State Line" gage is normal The precipitation gage shows about one inche of rain over the past 24 hrs. the Oostanaula and Etowah River gages at Rome, Ga., are, interestingly, showing a downward trend. The Oostanaula has fallen about 2.5 ft. in the past 48 hrs. The Conasauga and Coosawatee River gages are still normal. These make up the Oostanaula River. The precipitation gages at the Conasauga and Coosawatee show .75 - 1.0 inches rain The Lake Allatoona discharge gage, which makes up the lower Etowah River, is normal - which means the Corps have not increased the flow out of the Allatoona dam. Weiss, at the dam, has changed little over the past 24 hrs. At about 5:30 there was 1 generator running. The current 3 day plan shows them alternating from 0 -1 generator. Neely Henry, at the dam, has dropped a little over the past 48 hrs. At about 5:30 they had 2 generators running. The 3 day plan shows alternating from 1-2 generators, going to 1 all day Sat. Logan Martin, at the dam, has changed little over the past 48 hrs but is moving, slowly, in an upward direction. At about 5:30 we had 2 generators running. The 3 day plan shows alternating from 1-2 generators going to 1 all day Sat. Lay, at the dam, has increased about 8 inches over the past 24 hrs. Lay is actually a touch, almost an inch, over full pool - which is unusual. They have all 5 generators running and have the spillway open. They are moving a lot of water. Mitchell, at the dam, has changed little over the past 24 hrs but is on an upward move. Mitchell swings back and forth constantly. It's hard to say anything about the level over a short period. They are running all 3 generators and have the spillway open. Their 3 day plan show them going back to 1-2 generators on Sat. Jordan, at the dam, has actually dropped about 3 inches over the past 24 hrs. Jordan also swings back and forth a lot making short term observations unreliable. They have 2 generators running and they have the spillway open some. Their 3 day plan shows them alternating from 1-2 generators tomorrow and Sat. APC appears confident in their ability to handle this rain - we'll see These observations are just "right now" - things change
