Cafe L' Europe
Description
a landmark Palm Beach fine dining establishment In 1980 Lidia and I opened Café L’ Europe at 150 Worth Avenue on the second floor of the Esplanade. From opening day, Café L’ Europe quickly became part of the Palm Beach allure. World-renowned Worth Avenue was at the pinnacle of High Fashion and it seemed like every famous fashion designer and cosmetic royal graced the dining rooms at Café L’ Europe. Champagne bottles were popped so often it was hard to keep up with demand. Café L’ Europe was serving not only the fabulous Palm Beachers and local residents of the area but also all the International visitors of the day. The “Movers and Shakers” of industry, manufacturing, finance and government, as well as some of the greatest writers and entertainers all became Café L’ Europe’s guests. Many became “Regulars” alongside aristocrats and royalty from around the world. As one royal personage quoted “It is so nice to be able to come to Café L’ Europe to enjoy your wonderful food and wines, yet still have our privacy remain intact”. This sense of privacy for all our guests remains a tradition at Café L’ Europe.
After 15 years at the Esplanade, Lidia and I wanted a larger space to serve our guests better. On New Year’s Eve of 1995, Café L’ Europe opened its doors at its current location in anticipation of many exciting years ahead. The restaurant reflects Lidia’s and my personality and heritage. Lidia is from Rio de Janeiro and traveled the globe for years with Pan Am Airways. I am of European heritage and received my training throughout Europe. We were both involved in the design of Café L’ Europe and as always, we are both involved in the daily operation of the restaurant.
Today, we continue to welcome You, our local residents, celebrities, billionaires, dignitaries, royals with the same warm hospitality as we always have. We hope you will enjoy your dining experience with us.
