Charley & Kathy asked me to post for them so that you all know how they felt about the overwhelming show of love... Charley & I want to send out a very special thank you to all our employees, the band, our family, friends, customers and the Messanger Inquirer for making our last nights at the Yellow Rose very special. We also appreciate all those who stood in line for hours waiting to get in. It warms our hearts to know that so many of you wanted to be a part of our last night, so thank you again. We will always cherish the many years of memories, forever. Thank you Owensboro for 35 years of music, good times and even better memories. We will miss you all. This will be the final post on this page. It should end with a big thank you for supporting the page & letting us be a part of your lives. I will miss everyone too. Yes it's true- For 35 years, patrons of Charley's Yellow Rose have been gathering here to relax, grab a beer, see some friendly faces, dance, and listen to home town legend Charley Mattingly. It's been a blessed road but now's the time for Charley to hang up his cowboyhat. As the clock strikes 1:45 AM on Saturday January 27th, the Yellow Rose will be shouting Last Call for the final time... So we are asking all our friends, past & present, to come celebrate the end of an era with us! So, if this used to be your hang out then come on out to say goodbye with us! If you've never been here, then make your first time our last time! The drink specials won't be beat! The doors are closing for good at 2:00am on Saturday, January 27th. Celebrate with us & lets send Charley off right! Charley, Kathy, Jeffrey, & the Yellow Rose Staff would like to thank you all for the incredible years we've had, friends we've made & memories we will cherish. You all have truly made it worth every single moment! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
