Spent most of the day prepping this 8x8 beam from the 1800's for a home in Greenwich, CT.

It took a few days, but we were finally able to get some reorganizing done around the shop. Behold.. the wonderful wall of grey board!

Check it out! Late last week, we had the opportunity to bring in some pristine looking wide-plank, white pine wall panelling, that was salvaged out of a late 1800's home. The boards have all been finely hand planned and are sitting between 8-13" wide, milled with a tongue + groove edge. Come grab some while you still can!

We recently had these four 6x6 hand hewn beams brought to us by local woodworker, Jonathan Wuerth. All four were reclaimed from a barn in western CT and consist of Chestnut & Red Oak. The four beams are currently set to go into a home that was recently renovated in Pawcatuck, CT. We have plenty more where these came from, check us out!

More from Olive Branch Enterprises! Earlier this week, Jeff was back in the store on the hunt for some white barn siding. The plan was to build a sliding barn door for his client, and we think I turned out pretty great. Olive Branch Enterprises is owned and operated by Jeff Carbone and located in Southington, CT.

It's pretty fascinating how unique of a look you can get from piece to piece of reclaimed lumber. Each and every notch & axe mark will give it that much more character. We're always blown away by the fact that most of the beams we deal with were all hewn by hand and not some machine.
