Show that you care! You are invited to gather at a local mosque to show our support for our Muslim neighbors – many of whom are immigrants and may be directly impacted by the new White House policies on immigration. Arrangements have been made with other local congregations to be present at Masjid Hamza Islamic Center of the South Shore 200 Stuart Avenue, Valley Stream New York 11580 at 1 PM on Friday, February 3 (and, possibly, every Friday). Please contact Rabbi Greenspan at the Synagogue office if you would like to attend or you need a ride.

This Chanukiah would not have been possible without the generous contributions of time and money from a number of members of OJC. We thank you all! Thank you Rabbi Mark Greenspan for leading us in the beautiful dedication tonight and for all your support in motivating our members to add this very special addition to our home.
Our amazing orchestra- thank you for having the courage to play tonight and doing such a great job: Daniel Sternberg, conductor, Lauren Kagan, co-conductor and violin, Eric Reilly, violin and oboe, Matthew Green, cello, Ethan Green, violin, Benji Evans, violin, Melissa Kiner, flute, Daniel Stark, clarinet and Monte Leeper, trumpet. We have several more members of the orchestra that will be back in January and we are excited to plan the next performance for Purim in March and a concert event in June. We are still accepting new members and are happy to help guide those who aren't sure if they are up to the challenge. Please email ojcband@gmail.com with any questions. If anyone has any connections to getting a set of drums to leave at OJC, or where to get a tuba until June for cheap, please let us know. There are some interested members that don't necessarily have the means to play. We don't want that to stop them! Thanks again for coming tonight, your participation and for making OJC "The place to be!"

Thank you Joshua Margolis for your hard work hand crafting this beautiful piece of art and to the many members of the team who made tonight a success. Daniel Sternberg and Lauren Kagan, thanks so much for leading the orchestra and working with everyone to make this concert a success. Great night!
