We are very excited to welcome our new sports medicine doctor!! Please welcome Dr. Oliversen received her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry, and her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Oliversen completed her residency in Family Medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Oliversen completed her fellowship training at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois focusing on Primary Care Sports Medicine. Dr. Oliversen is passionate about injury prevention and rehabilitation. She especially enjoys working with athletes – from weekend warriors to elite level competitors. Consistent with her passion for sports, she is committed to utilizing a team approach including athletic trainers, physical therapists, and coaches in order to return the patient to his/her desired activity as quickly and safely as possible. Dr. Oliversen’s special interests include concussions, female athletes, and runners. She enjoys providing volunteer medical services for local sporting events and races including the Chicago Marathon. Like many of her patients, Dr. Oliversen has remained active throughout her life. She enjoys soccer, yoga and running year-round, as well as sailing on Lake Michigan in the summers and snowboarding in the winters.
