Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Easter Bunny Crawl! This event's proceeds went to Lucy Ryan--a 5-year-old girl who suffers from a rare condition that has taken her sight and affects her coordination & immune system. There is no cure for her condition. and the only goal is to slow the progression and improve her strength. We are supporting the annual Easter Bunny Bar Crawl in honor of this year's recipient, Lucy Ryan. For those that know Lucy, you know she is the sweetest, most precious angel to walk the Earth. For those that don't, Lucy is the daughter of Kevin and Maura Ryan, and sister of Declan (3) and Winnie Ryan(1). Lucy is the cutest 5 year old girl who battles an extremely rare mitochondrial condition which causes her cells to process energy differently than ours. Lucy's cells do not have the energy that they should, and as a result, Lucy is blind and has an unsteady gait from ataxia (lack of coordination and muscle movements). There is no cure for her condition, the only goal is to slow progression and improve her strength. When Lucy is brought upon a common cold that most of us can fight off, it causes her body to shut down and the incapability to walk, eat, sit up, use her hands or legs, etc. Lucy undergoes extensive physical/occupational/speech therapy, along with genetic testing, countless visits to specialists, MRIs, hospital stays, etc. Despite all of these challenges her and her family face, Lucy never complains and always has a smile on her face. She is the happiest and most positive girl there is! Please stop by Tcs Too between 7pm and 9pm tonight if you'd like to donate!
