The Novato Theater is soon to undergo a major renovation and reopen after being closed for over 20 years. With continued community support and business partnerships, it will be rebuilt as a community cultural center where live music, performing arts such as live theater and dance recitals, simulcast showing of live opera, Broadway shows, sports events, as well as a daily film program will have a year round venue. It will be open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and will be available to rent for meetings, private events and educational outreach programming. . All proceeds from fundraising events will benefit the Novato Theater, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation that is leading the rebuilding and operation of the historic downtown Novato Theater. Make this the year you visit Novato for some Holiday cheer. The 2017 Novato Christmas Festival and Tree Lighting is from 4:30pm thru 8:30pm with the tree lighting taking place around 6:00pm.
