The North Palm Beach Police Explorer’s are currently recruiting youth ages 14-21 with a 2.5 GPA or higher and good moral character that desire to work with police officers to make a positive impact on their community. Explorers learn about the law, court procedures, police patrol techniques and organizational skills. This program provides students with volunteer service opportunities at all Village special events. If your child is interested in working with a team of dedicated individuals that provide motivation and promote leadership, contact Officer Everett Lerner at 561-848-2525 or elerner@village-npb.org.

POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Police have begun Enforcement Phase during Pedestrian Safety Campaign The North Palm Beach Police Department partnered with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in March 2017 to conduct a comprehensive traffic safety and crash prevention operation that is designed to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety through high visibility enforcement. The North Palm Beach Police Department is conducting high-visibility traffic enforcement waves, saturating areas where traffic crashes involving bicycles and pedestrians are statistically most frequent. Officers have made contact with persons engaged in dangerous or unlawful activity. Initially, all those who were contacted received safety tips as well as educational brochures with safety tips and the link to www.AlertTodayFlorida.com which is an interactive website established by the FDOT. The second stage concluded on April 16th and resulted in the issuance of written warning violations to violators, in addition to receiving safety tips and educational brochures. The Police Department has now begun the final stage of the event which will conclude on May 15, 2017. In this stage of enforcement violators will receive traffic citations or traffic warnings as well as safety tips and educational brochures.
