Norfolk State University celebrated its 75th Anniversary January 2010 - June 2011. Norfolk State University is a comprehensive four-year, co-educational, urban institution, located in Norfolk, Virginia on a 134-acre campus. With a student enrollment of nearly 7,000, NSU is committed to increasing undergraduate and graduate degree attainment in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, while continuing its longstanding tradition of a strong liberal arts academic program.

The Norfolk State University Foundation will host its second, Taste of NSU on May 17, 2018. Taste of NSU, a mix and mingle food tasting, will take place on the NSU campus in the Student Center, from 6–9 p.m. It will showcase NSU’s performing and visual arts students, as well as inspired cuisine from area restaurants, NSU’s hospitality management student culinarians and special guest Chef Dr. Hattie N. Washington, aka “Aunt Hattie.”
