Turner Hall has been at the heart of New Ulm since 1856. New Ulm comes together at Turner Hall for events, food, drinks, weddings, and more. New Ulm Turner Hall is more than a building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is is the historic Rathskeller. As the oldest bar in Minnesota, generations have enjoyed a good time and great food.
We’ve been serving good food (and beverages) in the same room since 1873. Enjoy lunch or dinner (and a little Gemütlichkeit) in the historic Rathskeller. Our menu includes classic German dishes, as well as contemporary American fare, all at reasonable prices. We also have the best patio in town!
We are open to the public, and if you join Turner Hall as a member, you’ll receive a discount! We offer daily specials, take-out, and happy hour during the week from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Turner Hall is the perfect place to host your wedding or special event. It is also home to the oldest, first-class gymnastic program. We look forward to hosting your weekday dinner or your social event.
New Ulm Turner Hall is open to the public with no admission charge. If you are planning a trip to New Ulm, Turner Hall makes the perfect stop.

Join us for Member Appreciation Sunday, May 21nd. We will be serving FREE BURGERS, FREE BRATS, FREE BEER from 3:00-7:00 pm. The Biergarten Boys will be providing entertainment. Members are invited to bring a dish to pass. Do you have friends that are not yet members? Bring them to the party and they can become members at a discount.
