Tulane Graduate Distance Education
Description
Tulane distance learning program makes it possible for full time working professionals to earn an accredited Master of Public Health degree online. Mid-career professionals clearly benefit from distance learning programs that provide the opportunity to pursue an advanced degree while continuing their full-time jobs. Students can learn more about their field while staying in it, often leading to career advancement.
The Center for Applied Environmental Health has offered distance learning graduate programs since 1994, and hundreds of students have taken advantage of our convenient, user-friendly technology and full accredited distance learning coursework.
Our students are supported by highly experienced technical and administrative staff. The curricula incorporate adult-learning technique and draw upon the professional experiences of the students as well as faculty expertise. The curricula include case studies, in-class exercises, discussion, debate, and small group projects in addition to traditional lectures and exams. Students “attend” real-time, instructor-led classes each week where they:
• Hear and respond to the instructor with two-way audio
• Ask questions and engage in or lead discussions and presentations
• View synchronized visuals – slides, white boards, spreadsheets and websites
• Converse with classmates using microphone and text chat
• Meet in small groups outside of class
