We’re a popular Cajun, cafeteria-style restaurant serving up the best home-style cooking in the area. Renowned for tradition, family and good eating.   Located in historic downtown New Iberia, Victor’s Cafeteria has been a tradition since 1969, and we know good Cajun cooking! At Victor’s, you can find a big Southern breakfast, homemade pies baked in a flakey puff pastry, crawfish cooked into spicy etouffes, and so much more home-style cooking! Our coconut pie has been featured in several food magazines, we have been praised in the Boston Globe, featured in Canada and France, and our recipes are featured in articles all over the world.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Detective Dave Robicheaux eats here too! He is the fictional character from the set of stories by James Lee Burke. Every Thursday morning we have one table set aside and labeled as French only. This is where members of the Breakfast Club can spend their time learning, teaching or just speaking only in Cajun French, and anyone can join. Who is the Breakfast Club you may ask? This is a group of locals who have gathered every day for breakfast since 1975.

Don’t forget, we are available for rehearsal dinners, showers, banquets, graduation parties, family reunions, and any other special event you may have in mind. Come on in and allow us to delight you with our Southern hospitality and famous Cajun style cooking.  We are where Dave eats and The Breakfast Club meets!
