The Pathfinder Summer program is wrapping up this week, and students have been showing off their hard work. Today, a "share fair" was held in Heath, showcasing class projects from all the grades and classes in an open forum. Earlier in the week, the theater classes performed a reduced version of Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors" in the "shoestring-style" for their classmates, teachers and families in Lovell Hall. Great work, Pathfinder! #hoponthehill #pathfindersummersession #sharefair

The Thompson Hall Clock Tower needed a little TLC today. Our own Mike Hogan braved the heights in a boom lift to mend the clock, with a little help from G.L. Capasso, Inc. Would you be able to handle that height? #mightymaintenance #brave #savetheclocktower #backtothefuturereference

Despite the sweltering temperatures Saturday, nearly 100 young New-Haven area athletes participated in the Dominate the Day Foundation's second annual football camp hosted at Hopkins School. The Foundation was co-founded in memory of Jordan Sebastian '11 by Sebastian’s mother, Elizabeth Johnston, and Sebastian's cousin, Hopkins Athletics Department Associate Dante Brito, Jr. Dominate the Day is dedicated to continuing Jordan’s legacy by helping young people “become the absolute best version of themselves through academics, athletics, mentorship and volunteer opportunities." The one-day camp is free for all middle school aged students who attend. In a recent interview with WTNH, Liz said, "It’s a beautiful way to honor Jordan because there’s nothing he would rather have been doing than hosting his own football camp, nothing.” Jordan died of cancer in 2017. Johnston said she chooses to focus on his life while continuing his legacy. Hopkins Varsity Football Coach Tim Phipps, who volunteered at the event along with several other Hopkins coaches, said the young athletes learned new techniques, practiced multiple drills, and competed in scrimmages. Head of School Kai Bynum said that it's an honor for Hopkins School to host the camp. "It's a special day because it brings together young people from all over New Haven and neighboring towns, and it celebrates the life of Jordan Sebastian."
