The Bushido School of Karate Leadership Team met last night to discuss the results of our Special Kids fundraiser. Mr Nelson and this group helped raise over $2600!!!

Wow! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that helped make our Special Kids fundraiser a success! Thank you to the runners/walkers, people that donated and Leadership Team workers. We raised close to $2500 from donations and the money from the race participants. With 44 participants, we had the 4th largest team out of over 80 teams. Thank you so much for helping to make this a successful fundraiser and for honoring our fellow karate student Christian Buchanan in such a meaningful way.

What a great turn out we had at the recent USEWRKD Federation Tournament. I was so proud of the approximately 80 attendees we had. I appreciate everyone’s patience with the long day. Things were added at the beginning of the tournament for the 50th anniversary. Special congratulations to Louis Sanchez and Kyle Nelson for entering the Kihon Competition at the start of the tournament. They did a GREAT job and represented us very well!!

After my children took lessons for a few years, I decided to try it myself. The school is fantastic for younger students and "old dogs" wanting to get in shape and learn a valuable skill. The school is always hosting special events and classes to keep your time there interesting. I cannot recommend Karate at Bill Taylor's Bushido School of Karate more highly. Andrew Kamp

Mr Taylor would like to thank First Presbyterian Church for hosting a ladies’ self defense class Monday night. Jennifer Taylor, Jeff Nelson, Fidella Alvarado and Alexa Powers were awesome assistants. Over 70 women attended this seminar. Thank you to Susan Couch with the church for arranging it!

Mr Taylor spoke to the Calvary Baptist Preschool this morning about Stranger Danger. What a fine group of well behaved young people!

In 1988 Panama Jack sponsored the Panama Jack International Kickboxing Team in a tournament style event in Nov of that year, held in Elbuef, France. 8 professional kick boxers in 8 different weight classes fought the French champions. The American Team was able to tour Paris, the Louve, the Eiffel Tower and the Versailles Castle. The event was ruled a draw as the French team won 4 matches and the Americans won 4.
