Around the PGT Horn* Weekly Encouragement by PGT Corporate Chaplain – Sid Bream Golden Rule Most of you have heard the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I wonder what our world would be like if we truly lived by these words? Just think, instead of calling someone a loser, we challenged them that the moon is the limit. Instead of throwing someone’s name in the dirt, we praised them for their accomplishments. What about giving forgiveness, when somebody wronged you, or giving a soft answer when someone is yelling and screaming at you? This list could go on and on, but in order for things to get better we have to do our part of the Golden Rule. We might not get the same treatment in return, but we have to challenge ourselves to take the first step. Without the first step, nothing will be accomplished. Blessings To Each Of You! In the PGT Wheelhouse - Weekly Devotion from PGT Corporate Chaplain, Sid Bream: Wiseman Matthew 7: 24-27= “Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible, (Wise) man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great!” This story, in a way, reminds us of the story of the “3 Little Pigs.” The rains represent the big bad wolf. The house built on the sand represents the two “not so wise” little pigs that built their houses out of straw, twigs and sticks. The house built on the rock represents the third little pig that built his house out of brick. He was a wise little pig because he knew his house would withstand the winds of the big bad wolf. He knew he would be safe. My question to you is this, which little pig are you? Have a blessed week, Sid Sid Bream Corporate Chaplain PGT Trucking, Inc. For more accurate forecast please check the local area information. http://www.weather.gov/ ...Heavy lake effect snow and gusty winds expected downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario... ...Heavy snow possible for portions of Maine... ...Rain, mountain snow, and high winds expected for portions of the West Coast... A deepening and fast-moving low pressure system will bring snow to the Great Lakes, Ohio valley, Northeast, and portions of the Mid-Atlantic states today. The heaviest snows will be downwind of the Great Lakes, as cold air rushing across the relatively warm lake waters results in the formation of lake effect snow bands. Lake effect snows will persist into Wednesday and Wednesday night even as the low pressure system moves away from the region. The heaviest lake effect snows are forecast to occur downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario, where 1 to 2 feet of additional snow is possible through Wednesday morning. Additionally, strong gusty winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible in the more intense lake effect snow bands, reducing visibilities at times. Heavy snow will also be possible across much of Maine as the surface low deepens off the coast Tuesday night, enhancing snowfall northwest of the low. Snowfall amounts of 6 to 12 inches are possible across much of Maine, with locally higher amounts possible. In the wake of the low pressure system an arctic air mass will spread eastward. Temperatures today will be 15 to 25 degrees below average across portions of the Midwest and Upper Great Lakes. The cold air will move east on Wednesday, with temperatures 10 to 20 degrees below average across portions of the Ohio valley, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast. A Pacific low pressure system will bring rain and mountain snow to the Northwest today through Wednesday, with snow spreading across the northern Intermountain region on Wednesday. Heavy snow is possible for the Sierras, with 10 to 20 inches of snow possible through Wednesday morning. This system will also bring high winds to portions of northern California and southern Oregon, with wind gusts in excess of 60 mph possible for some areas.

Lake effect snows are forecast to continue today as cold air spreads into the Great Lakes and Northeast. The heaviest lake effect snow bands will be downwind of Lakes Erie and Ontario, where lake effect snow warnings are in effect. A fast-moving "clipper" low pressure system will dive southeastward across the northern planes into the Upper Midwest today. The system will reach the eastern U.S. on Tuesday, spreading snow into areas from the central Appalachians to the Northeast. Additional enhancement of lake effect snows will also occur as this system passes. Through Wednesday morning, 1 to 2 feet of additional snow is forecast to occur downwind of Lake Erie, with 1 to 3 feet downwind of Lake Ontario. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph will also be possible in the lake effect snow bands, reducing visibility as low as a quarter mile at times. The low pressure system will also produce 4 to 8 inches of snow across much of Maine Tuesday and Tuesday night. High temperatures today will be 5 to 15 degrees below average for portions of the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes. The low pressure system passing the region on Tuesday will usher another round of arctic air into the region, with temperatures as much as 25 degrees below average. This frigid air mass will spread into the Ohio valley, and portions of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast by Wednesday. Rain and high elevation snow will be possible across the Pacific Northwest today as a Pacific frontal system moves inland. Precipitation will diminish across the region tonight as the system weakens. In the PGT Wheelhouse - Weekly Devotion from PGT Corporate Chaplain, Sid Bream: Sower & The Seed ““You, then, listen to the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the one sown along the path. And the one sown on rocky ground — this is one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. Yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived. When pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Now the one sown among the thorns — this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the seduction of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. But the one sown on the good ground — this is one who hears and understands the word, who does bear fruit and yields: some 100, some 60, some 30 times what was sown.”” Matthew 13:18-23 HCSB Which one of these individuals are you? Could you be the seed that was sown along the path, which refers to the one that hears the message of redemption, but Satan hardens your heart, and tells you that believing in Christ is sissy stuff? Or could you be the one that is sown on rocky ground. This person is the one that enjoys what they hear, and adopts it for a while, but then because someone throws threatening slurs about your faith, you fall to the pressure. You have no root system to hold up under the pressure. Possibly, you are the seed that fell among thorns. Satan tempts you with wealth, and how much happier you would be if you would just focus all your attention on that kind of life. Or maybe you struggle with sickness or death, or other pressures in your family or friends and you question God saying, how could a loving God do this to me? Can I just say these are schemes of the devil to not allow you to understand the great life you can have through a relationship with Jesus Christ. John 10: 10 says, “The thief’s (Satan) purpose is to steal and kill and destroy; My (Jesus Christ) purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” NLT Through all the pressures of this life, God is the only one that will have your back. Why don’t you be the seed, which surrenders all to Christ, and allow Him to bring your life meaning and peace? You will be glad you did!!! Sid Sid Bream Corporate Chaplain PGT Trucking, Inc.
