The kids have been challenged to read 4 books this summer. The challenge comes from Father Phil. Ms. Berry did a classroom activity to support summer reading. Ms. Berry hosted a book tasting at Restuarunt Berry. Now the Middle Schoolers are set with many ideas for summer reading!

Our economics marketplace has officially come to an end! WOW was it a success. This hands on experience taught the 3rd grade so much about scarcity, opportunity costs, and the important details of being producers and business owners. Some groups experienced scarcity as they ran out of resources before all of the classes came to purchase products. They had to reflect on mistakes they made and how they would change things. Every group made a profit, which was great! Some of these kids are going to be great business owners and advertisers!

Today we celebrated two great women; Roberta Dalton and Mary, the mother of our Church. We had May Crowning and a retirement celebration on a beautiful Friday morning. What a fantastic way to celebrate on our last Friday of the school year.

The St. Pius X garden is flourishing! We put in the gardens in memory of Decon Dave Ritter. When I see the fun the kids have planting, and what the gardens are producing, I know he is smiling down on us.
