"Africa Umoja the spirit of togetherness" The award-winning south African musical production sponsored by Atena returns to south Florida for two-week limited run opening February 25 – March 8, 2020 at the Miramar Cultural Center. • Evening performances are Tuesday through Sunday at 7:00 P.M. • Matinee performances are Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 P.M. Group Performances Booked at www.embracegirlpower.org include: • Educational Student performances on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 10:00 AM • Senior performances on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM • Weekends from 11am – 3pm the Miramar Cultural Arts Center will be transformed into the Africa Umoja Family Fun Village where free master classes, backstage tours, food, accessories and art vendors as well as family fun activities and games will take place. Due to the slow movement of hurricane dorian, and the anticipation of possible sustained Tropical Force (39-73 mph) winds, all solid waste and recycling collection services are suspended for Mon Sep 2 and Tue Sep 3 until further notice. Upon reinstatement of collection services we will follow the normal/regular collection schedule. Please DO NOT place carts curbside. Remember to double bag your trash to keep conditions as sanitary as possible.
